This one-on-one session allows me to assess your alignment, posture and provides an opportunity to discuss personal goals, medical conditions, the basics of the BASI Pilates method and any questions you might have. I recommend 2 – 3 private sessions before joining a semi private session to ensure you have a basic understanding of the principles and safe use of the various apparatus.
Semi private sessions have a maximum of two clients. Sessions include machine and mat exercises. These sessions are kept small so your individual needs can be supported through exercise and apparatus modifications. You will leave feeling strengthened, lengthened and refreshed.
Mat work classes provide an excellent and fun way to increase strength, balance and flexibility. Each class will flow through a series of exercises that will address all muscles groups. Mat classes can include small apparatus such as magic circles, thera bands and hand weights. Sessions start from beginner through to advanced level. Your individual needs will be supported through exercise modifications.
This class is a mid-week opportunity to slow down, breath and grow in body awareness. A variety of small apparatus such as the Franklin Method balls, rollers, Thera Bands and Small Pilates balls will be used. Throughout each class you will be provided with cues that will enable you to create effective imagery for your brain, breathing techniques and exercises that can be repeated at home.
Essential oils, dim lights, peaceful music, space = bliss!
Barre is a fun and energetic, workout that combines techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga. It tones and strengthens the whole body as well as increasing flexibility and lifting the heart rate. This class is a faster pace then our other classes which provides a great challenge for the mind and body. Beginner and intermediate clients are welcome!
